The concept of cookie dough frosting is that you can take any cookie dough recipe and leave out the eggs and levening agents and have frosting. This the recipe I use.
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- Cream butter and sugars together.
- Add salt flour, salt, and the extracts and beat until light and fluffy.
If you want to add chocolate chips or nuts, top the frosted cupcakes with those.
